The University of Bradford offers a wide range of financial help to assist you on your university journey, and invests over £4m annually in the Access Agreement and other scholarships to support students from all backgrounds. Students from Bangladesh are eligible for a 2000 GBP scholarship per year for undergraduate programs. Students from Pakistan, Nepal and India are eligible to apply for Vice Chancellors Scholarship and also other scholarship where the amount varies from 2,500 GBP to 4000 GBP per year.

This 4-year BSc (Hons) in Business Studies and Law gives you a clear understanding of the interface between business activity and the legal framework within which it operates. It prepares you for business careers with a legal dimension, developing insight and transferable skills that set you apart in a competitive job marketplace. You’ll also be able to pursue a legal career through further study after graduation, with the advantage of additional commercial knowledge.

You’ll learn from sector leading academics and seasoned business experts, and qualified solicitors and barristers with a wealth of real world experience.

many aspects of accounting and finance

The growing importance of law has created new job opportunities in careers such as management, banking and finance, journalism and teaching – as well as increased demand in traditional legal roles. This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) for the purpose of exemption from some professional examinations, dependant on your chosen modules.

Career opportunities exist in general management, banking and finance, journalism, teaching, legal executive and paralegal professions. Among the organisations recently to have employed our graduates are Bradford Council and Halifax Magistrates’ Court.

During your time studying at the Faculty of Management and Law you will have the opportunity to take part in our distinctive career booster programme throughout the duration of your course. The programme is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and graduate attributes to be job-ready when seeking employment with leading innovative organisations. The European Computer Driving License (ECDL) - the benchmark for digital literacy
Sage 50 Accounting and Sage 50 Payroll - training that will allow you to develop leading accounting and payroll software skills
Project Manager Professional certificates - giving you the edge when seeking to become a Certified Project Manager
Big Data analysis and reporting skills - using Software and Services (SAS) that will lead to certification.

In addition, the programme will also include activities to promote teamwork, confidence, communication and many other skills sought by employers.

Core modules-

  • 1st year- Legal Relationships Sources and Institutions, Business Law and Ethics.

  • 2nd year- Law in a Global Context, Law In The Community 1, The Law of Tort.

  • 3rd year- Empirical Methods in Accounting and Finance, Current issues in International Business, Consumer Insight.


This 4-year programme offers you the opportunity to take up a placement year working in business in your third year.

 Placements are real, paid jobs in a wide variety of organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors and offer you a valuable opportunity to experience first-hand how business, management and legal concepts are applied in practice, and to give you direct exposure to real issues in the workplace. It can also be done abroad.

The placement year is a vital part of your learning and will add significantly to your personal development, self-confidence, planning, communication and business acumen skills. Statistics show that students who have undertaken a placement year benefit from a better graduate job, higher graduate starting salary and a better degree outcome.

In a competitive graduate market, valuable experience and employability skills gained from a year’s work placement will differentiate you from the thousands of other graduates seeking work.

A successor to the Bradford Mechanics Institute, Bradford Technical College, and the Bradford Institute of Technology, the University of Bradford became the UK’s fortieth University in 1966 and has continued to grow ever since. 

Student population is now almost 10,000, bringing students from 150 nations together in one place of learning excellence.

After Bradford Institute of Technology was granted a Royal Charter and the University of Bradford was established, British Prime Minister Harold Wilson was installed as the first Chancellor. Today, that role belongs to Kate Swann, a respected leader in the UK business world.

The University's Business School is one of the oldest in the UK, continues to be a world leader in business and management education, research and knowledge transfer.  It is one of only a small number of business schools across the world with the coveted triple-crown of Accreditations.

UK IGCSE or A-LEVELS

Minimum 112 UCAS Tariff Points. 3 Subjects with 80 points in 2 full A-levels with minimum BBC. In IGCSE or O-Level you must have English and Mathematics with grade C or above.
