The International Foundation Year is a three-term programme of academic subjects, study skills and English language training designed to help international students succeed in a UK classroom environment and meet the entry requirements for undergraduate study.
Once you complete the programme and achieve the required grades, you can enter the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree at the University.

The International Foundation Year will develop your academic knowledge and English language skills to prepare you for the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree. This is a three-term foundation programme with a choice of four pathways.
Is the International Foundation Year right for you?
The International Foundation Year is perfect for international students who do not meet the academic qualifications to study the intensive International Year One programme, but who wish to progress to the first year of an undergraduate degree. It is tailored to students that are looking to improve their academic knowledge and English language skills to get the most out of their university studies.
What can you expect?
You will cover core modules in all four pathways including English language and study skills aimed to give you the language and related academic skills to reach your full potential at university.
Alongside your core modules, you will also study subject-specific modules, which are related to your chosen programme and are significant for your academic development.
In just one year you will develop your English language, study skills and subject knowledge to prepare you for your degree.
