The University of Bradford offers a wide range of financial help to assist you on your university journey, and invests over £4m annually in the Access Agreement and other scholarships to support students from all backgrounds. Students from Bangladesh are eligible for a 2000 GBP scholarship per year for undergraduate programs. Students from Pakistan, Nepal and India are eligible to apply for Vice Chancellors Scholarship and also other scholarship where the amount varies from 2,500 GBP to 4000 GBP per year.

This 4-year BSc (Hons) in Economics will give you the skills you need for a career in the financial sector, or to pursue a managerial career.

You’ll develop a strong working knowledge of:
microeconomics and macroeconomics
qualitative and mathematical research methods
financial markets and banking
economic trends, institutions and policies – both national and international

You’ll study core Economics modules and choose optional modules from other complementary subject disciplines within the School of Management, ensuring you emerge as a well-rounded, commercially aware professional.

The programme focuses on the application of theory to real-world commercial situations. It is also oriented towards research-led teaching from academic staff with research interests in fields such as:
international trade
European economic integration
dynamic macroeconomics and international finance
financial economics
emerging markets and transitional economics

You'll have a wide range of career opportunities open to you on graduation, in both the public and private sectors, along with the foundations for further study in finance, economics and business management.

The University's Economics programmes develop your powers of analysis and critical thought, and build skills in communication, expression and rational argument. Core modules-

  • 1st year- Introduction to Microeconomics, Introduction to Macroeconomics -2, Quantitative Methods for Economists, Finance and Accounting for Managers, Development of Economic Ideas, Principles of Management

  • 2nd year- Employability and Enterprise Skills, Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Multinational Finance and Investment, Research Methods for Economists.

  • 3rd year- Dissertation in Economics, Econometrics, Contemporary Issues in Economics, Advanced Economics.



In sandwich year the University provide access to high-quality internship opportunities at a variety of employers. A placement year, taken in year three of the programme, enables you to develop your skills and professional confidence and boost your employability on graduation.

students are highly successful in securing both summer and year-long internships and placements with Government Economic Service placement scheme (e.g. the Treasury, Department for Work and Pensions, Department of Health, Office for National Statistics) and a range of private sector companies involved in marketing, finance and the voluntary sector. A successor to the Bradford Mechanics Institute, Bradford Technical College, and the Bradford Institute of Technology, the University of Bradford became the UK’s fortieth University in 1966 and has continued to grow ever since. 

Student population is now almost 10,000, bringing students from 150 nations together in one place of learning excellence.

After Bradford Institute of Technology was granted a Royal Charter and the University of Bradford was established, British Prime Minister Harold Wilson was installed as the first Chancellor. Today, that role belongs to Kate Swann, a respected leader in the UK business world.

The University's Business School is one of the oldest in the UK, continues to be a world leader in business and management education, research and knowledge transfer.  It is one of only a small number of business schools across the world with the coveted triple-crown of Accreditations.

Minimum 70% at Higher Secondary Education Certificate from science or commerce background.

PAKISTAN

Minimum 60% at Intermediate/ Higher Secondary Certificate from science or commerce background.

UK IGCSE or A-LEVELS

Minimum 112 UCAS Tariff Points. 3 Subjects with 80 points in 2 full A-levels with minimum BBC. In IGCSE or O-Level you must have English and Mathematics with grade C or above.
